Art as a gesture of self-care and a ritual of presence.
My name is Antonio Reina-Bermúdez, but when I introduce myself, I say yoSoy antonReina)))
As an artist, I explore the creation of moments, spaces, and experiences where creation is lived as a pause, a game that nourishes the soul. From my nursing perspective, I propose that each work be a gesture that cares for us, reconnects us with the spiritual, and returns us to the sacred, the mystical, the magical, the invisible. I am interested in creativity, human contact, and laughter.
My creative path attempts to respond to these questions that guide me, orient me, and seek to give meaning to my artistic practice:
· How can art become an act of care toward oneself?
· In what way can creation open a space of presence, play, and well-being?
I investigate art as a pathway to self-care. I consider it an experience that nourishes the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the human being. From a holistic perspective of the human being, I propose that creative practice itself is a ritual that reconnects us with our essence.
My works—performances, objects, actions, and hybrid pieces between the physical and the digital—seek to provoke attention, curiosity, and enjoyment. My intention is to awaken inner joy. Each project becomes an environment where the creative act is not an aesthetic end, but a means to experience well-being, inner freedom, and deep connection.
From my nursing background, I want to integrate into my art the basic theoretical principles of care, which are presence and active listening, thereby redefining creative time as a safe and nourishing space.
In this way, my art becomes an intimate gesture, a sacred pause to reconnect body and soul in our daily lives.

My work is nourished, among others, by the symbolic thought of Carl Gustav Jung, who understands art as a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious; by Wassily Kandinsky’s vision of the spiritual as an essential force in creation; and by surrealism, which inspires me to open portals to the dreamlike, the irrational, and the mysterious. These influences intertwine in my practice to attempt to give shape to a mystical and experiential art that provokes presence, wonder, and connection with the invisible.
